DJI Phantom 3 Pro Drone
DJI made over $1 billion in sales of the Phantom 2 last year and now it’s time for a new product. The manufacturer is going all Apple on us by fusing razor-sharp aesthetics, design with functionality, and that kind of attractive brand that basically acts like catnip to those chasing what new tech has to offer.
To that end, DJI relies on classy presentation and top-of-the-line components to keep its brand alive. A 4K camera therefore, comes as part of the high-end drone package. Being able to stay in the air for 23 minutes is a big plus too. This is the sort of thing used to film blockbuster movies – and it’s available for you to fly right now.
While the interesting parts of the flight are left up to you, the DJI Phantom 3 will deal with the tough bits – stabilising, maintaining height and so on – so you can have fun.
Fence yourself off
You can create a custom safety net around your drone, fencing your drone in a certain altitude and distance from you, protecting the machine and preventing you accidentally flying into unwanted areas.
Visual and ultrasonic positioning
It can fly in places that lack a GPS signal by combining visual sensors with a radarlike ultrasonic sensor that enables flying close to the ground and position identification with ease.
Shoot from a distance
Incredibly, the 4K camera has a range of just over three miles (or five kilometers). The images captured can be streamed directly to your drone’s controller too!
